The
festival that honors those famous “fainting” goats of Marshall County,
Tennessee returns to Lewisburg, TN this October 12 and 13 with another great
lineup of entertainment and activities for the whole family to enjoy - including for the first time - GOAT YOGA!
On
Friday, the festival really kicks into gear with Fainting (Myotonic) and Boer Goat
shows, kids’ games and rides, arts and crafts, vendors, food and musical
entertainment.
Musical artists from across the Region
will perform throughout Friday evening to cap a fun-filled first day of the
festival leading up to a free concert by BILLBOARD chart-topper, Tyler Farr.
Nashville’s Tyler Farr released his highly anticipated sophomore
album, Suffer In Peace, on April 28th. Suffer In Peace made its debut in the
top 5 on the BILLBOARD Top 200 Albums and BILLBOARD Country Albums Charts. Previously
with the release of his debut album, Redneck Crazy, which released in 2013,
landing Farr at No. 2 on the Billboard Country Albums Chart and #5 on the
Billboard Top 200 made Farr the only solo male country artist in the last 10
years to have his first two studio albums debut in the top-5 on the Billboard
200 Chart. His #1, platinum-selling title-track “Redneck Crazy” was called the
“song of the summer” by The New York Times and projected Farr forward to
celebrate back-to-back #1 singles, including his first #1 as a songwriter, with
his Gold-certified hit “Whiskey in my Water.” The Missouri native’s dry wit and
energetic live show have earned him industry recognition as a 2014 CRS New
Faces of Country Radio and 2014 Music Row “Breakthrough Artist of the Year”
nominee, as well as rave reviews for his coveted opening slots touring with
Jason Aldean, Florida Georgia Line, Brantley Gilbert and Lee Brice. Tyler has
appeared on the Today Show and Fox & Friend’s All American Summer Concert
Series. Tyler’s first single off the newly released Suffer In Peace album, “A
Guy Walks into a Bar,” is proving to be Farr's third radio hit, currently
residing in the Top 5 at country radio, and is now RIAA Certified GOLD
Saturday
night, the Goats, Music and More stage welcomes breakthrough country artist,
Jimmie Allen, followed by a country artist whose time is now - Craig Campbell.
A
native of Southern Delaware, Jimmie Allen has gone from living in his car to
rocking amphitheaters on Toby Keith’s Interstates & Tailgates Tour and
appearing in a Diet Coke ad with superstar Taylor Swift. But now with the BBR
Music Group debut of his self-titled EP, a lifetime of never giving up has
brought him full circle.
Allen’s
EP, a cutting-edge mix of country, rock, R&B, and pop produced by Ash
Bowers and Eric Torres, brings the same sound he had when he first arrived in
Nashville, but now things are different. “Underdogs” and “Best Shot” reveal
Allen’s true story of laying it all on the line, while “Back Home to You,” “Back
of Your Mind,” and “Blue Jean Baby” find the singer-songwriter reflecting on
his journey to the spotlight – with all the love he left behind and romantic
hopes included.
Tyler Farr headlines Goats, Music and More Friday Night, Oct. 12 - 8 p.m. |
Starting
in 2010, “Family Man” and “Outta My Head” both cracked the Top 15 on
Billboard’s Country Airplay chart, while others like the hook-in-cheek “Fish”
snagged more than 10 million on-demand streams. “Keep Them Kisses Comin’”
became a bonafide Top 10 hit, while “Outskirts of Heaven” showed an artist
sensitive enough to share his soul – and courageous enough to stand on
conviction. Along the way he became a regular on the Grand Ole Opry and
appeared on NBC’s Today, supported the USO and sang “American Anthem” for
Macy’s 2017 4th of July Fireworks Spectacular, all while tastemakers like radio
personality Bobby Bones touted the exceptional vocalist’s under-the-radar
potential. Then in a fitting full-circle moment, Campbell hit the road with
Bryan once again – this time sharing the spotlight as part of the 2017 Huntin’,
Fishin’, and Lovin’ Every Day Tour.
“It’s
definitely an exciting time,” he says. “It’s been almost two years since
‘Outskirts of Heaven’ was released to radio, but I wanted to make sure we got
it right because that song was very, very special, and not just anything could
follow it.”
With
the up-tempo, pure-Country anthem “See You Try,” from his third studio album, Campbell’s
patience has paid off. The grinning new single is not only packed with all the
down-home charm and up-town talent both fans and critics have come to love, it
shows Campbell as he truly is – a steady-handed star for the current era.
